Make It Happen

This is the season for you to make things happen and stop letting things happen!  Start writing down and posting your affirmations and goals! When you do this, you are holding yourself accountable to make progress and not just talk about what you want to do! When you write a goal, be specific and set a date in which you will have it accomplished!

Sometimes we like to blame others for why our life hasn’t turned out the way to be expected, but we get in our own way. We put so much emphasis on what people think of us and will they support our endeavors that we back out and just live a mediocre life! You weren’t created to just barely make ends meet! Starting today, make up in your mind that you are going to make things happen! Don’t say you don’t have time because tehy time spent on social networks is plenty of time for you to do research and work on personal development to get you to the next level! Go and grow…Make It Happen!

Choose To Win

None of use are exempt from disappointments, setbacks (whether minor or major), heartache, pain, frustration, guilt, and so on. (I’m sure you get the picture!) Once we accept this fact, it saves us a lot of time on trying to figure everything out. I cannot express this enough, “Your mindset determines your outcome.”

Stop stressing over things you cannot change. Once it’s done, it’s done. From that point, all we can do is move forward. By moving forward, it allows us to make progress. If you do look back, only do it to remember where and how far you have come from. It’s not possible to make the same mistake twice because after the first time it becomes a choice. Since we have a choice, let’s choose to win!

We can’t go through life holding onto things and people that were only meant to be in our lives for a season or two. When we hold on to things or people that have expired in our lives, it hinders us from getting to the next level. We have to learn to let go when it’s time and not be afraid of the outcome. Take a moment to think about some things or people we have been holding on to past the expiration date. Holding on can cause us to lose, so choose to win!

“Instead of looking at the trials we face as a life sentence, look at them as a served term.” Trials don’t last forever–You are free to Choose To Win!!!

Be Willing To Grow

Growth can be defined as the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally, or spiritually. The aspect of growth that I want to focus on at this time is mental growth. Our thoughts are what affects our actions and our actions affect our growth. It is extremely important to realize that our growth is determined by the way we think. There are three issues about our thought process that can stunt growth.

First, there is the issue of self worth. A lot of us allow others to determine our worth from the way they express their feelings towards us. Self worth ties in with respect and if you don’t respect yourself, nine times out of ten, others won’t respect you either. Once you know your worth, you will realize you are valuable and that will open up the doors for growth. When those doors are opened you won’t be afraid to go through them because you will realize that you are more than capable to succeed.

Secondly, there is the issue of self doubt. Most of us never get to our ultimate destination because we don’t believe in ourselves. Once we gain confidence, it is then, that we are able to grow out of that doubt. To gain confidence, we can get as much knowledge and experience as possible in the area(s) that we are most passionate about. At that point, we can begin to follow our dreams with the belief that we have what it takes.

Lastly, there is the issue of self motivation. Motivation is one of the hardest things to do for yourself. That is why there are so many people who have put their dreams on the backburner. We have to be careful not to rely solely on others to motivate us. The best advice I can give concerning motivation is to “Turn your desire into drive.” Once you are aware of your desires, it gives you a blueprint for your dreams. If you think you can be successful, you can achieve it.

With all that being said, don’t be afraid to grow. Growing mentally is something that all of us should strive to do. We have to be WILLING to grow in order for any growth to take place. “Your mindset determines your outcome.”

Choosing to Change

No matter what walk of life we come from, we all have one thing in common: choices.  We all have the choice to change or remain the same.  I encourage each of you to make the choice today to change!  Change for the better, that is!

Change is not always received well by others, especially if they will be affected by the change.  There are 3 obstacles that we must overcome before we can take that step of faith to change.

First, we must overcome fear of rejection.  Fear is the most common obstacle that keeps us from reaching our destination.  Fear of rejection by those we love and care for is the biggest.  Just as we became complacent where we were, those around us grew used to our actions and routines as well.

When you change, it not only affects you, but those around you also.  We must strive to get to the place where we know who we are and where we are headed.  If you know your purpose and what you are called to do, don’t sleep on it!  Have faith because that is what you will need!  Don’t be discouraged if people turn their backs on you. When someone’s back is turned to you, they can’t see where you are going, but you can still see beyond them!!

Secondly, we must overcome fear of failure.  It is my belief that you only fail when you give up.  Don’t get me wrong, there are some things that are not for us, so we have to be careful to distinguish between the two…that’s another topic though!

When you have a desire in your heart that is according to God’s will, He will help you to see it through.  You have a special calling on your life and because of that, the enemy will do everything he can to distract and deter you from your destination.  Stay focused and trust God to get you to where you are headed.  Most times, it won’t come easy because your test builds a testimony, your stumble keeps you humble, your mess becomes your message and in all of these things give God all the praise, glory, and honor.  Don’t worry, you will get to where are going!

Lastly, we must overcome the fear of the unkown.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.  When you walk by faith and not by sight, that’s when the fear of the unknown sets in.  When you get that feeling, it means that you are just that much closer to your victory.  Although we don’t have all the answers, God has our back, front, side, top, and bottom.  When we trust Him to lead us, there is no way we can miss the mark!

Choose this day to change for the better and I promise you won’t regret it!

Choices

We all have a choice…whether we make the right one or wrong one is up to us!  Many feel as though they don’t have a choice regarding there jobs and decisions, to name a few.  It may be because they have a family to take care of or maybe they feel the need to be looked highly upon by peers.  Whatever the case, we ALL have a choice.

As I sit here thinking back over my life, it is easy for me to have a pity party and feel bad about the wrong choices I made, but it is those same choices that made me who I am today!  I look at them as learning experiences!  Some choices I made were right while others were wrong.  Regardless of the outcome, I have not allowed it to deter me from my ultimate goal!

One of the most valuable assets in life is having a positive mindset!  You can’t define happiness by what you have or who you are, it is about what you think!

IT’S YOUR CHOICE!!!!!

The Beginning of Change

The definition of change is to become or make different.  In life, we face many trials and tribulations.  All of us have unique characteristics, so when events or situations arise in our lives, it causes a change.  There are many ways one can look at the stages of change in their life.

It all starts with an alteration! The first alteration is the beginning of change.  This is always the hardest part because it requires us to accept reality and be honest with ourselves.  Even though it may hurt, we know what decisions we should make…the process of the beginning of change.  This sometimes means that we have to let some of the people and things in our life go.

It is important to have strong faith because it is during this time that you need God the most.  We have to realize and accept the fact that God has our best interests at heart and He knows what we need and don’t need.

“When we get the answer to what alterations need to be made in our life, we must look to our future and know that the best is yet to come!”
